Just a quick post for anyone who drives while taking prescription drugs, a new legislation came into effect on the 2nd of March. Please cover your backs and double check with your Doctor and or the DVLA, if you are deemed over the limits then you can expect to be liable to the full extent of the law. Please find below a short video from the department of transport along with a link on the subject to the Direct Gov website. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/drug-drive-legislation-am-i-fit-to-drive As always for automatic driving lessons in Rotherham and Mansfield visit http://nogears-nofears.com

This is a really brilliant story, Lisa was learning to drive on and off for the best part of 30 years, I will not go into figures but a few test were failed and after giving up being told to knock it on the head Lisa decided enough was enough and it was time to get that licence. They say a picture paints a thousand words and this one tells an inspiring story. Well done, I knew you could do it lady. For automatic driving lessons in Rotherham, Mansfield or Worksop contact us today and lets get cracking.l Due to the bad weather conditions unfortunately the remainder of today's lessons are off. After a fantastic lesson teaching a lady in her 70's how to handle these conditions the correct way I was almost hit by an oncoming car that was in turn hit by a car coming in way too fast to a T junction. If you watch the footage you will see both cars are driving well beyond the limits in these conditions. Always consider do I need to drive when its like this? Can I stop in time? It is surprising how little amount of speed is needed to get into trouble when the roads are like this. If I remember correctly the incident is at about 1 minute 30 or so. Stay safe guys. As promised im going to try and catch up with the blog page, so this one brings a massive smile to my face while typing. Gary passed his test in Rotherham at the 1st attempt with only 1 fault. Even more impressive is the back story to Gary's journey which involved a near fatal car accident. I will post the press clipping at a later date. A very belated well done mate, enjoy this. A quick word of warning for those of you starting new pupils who have applied for a first provisional allowing them to drive a car at age 16 (if they receive higher rate mobility component of DLA/PIP). Check the "from date" for car (category B) carefully, I have recently had a number of cases where DVLA have issued incorrect licences to people who have correctly applied for car entitlement at 16 - the licence issued each time only gave entitlement for category AM & A1 (mopeds & low power motorcycles) from age 16, category B entitlement was only permitted from 17th birthday. In all 3 cases the box on the application form "To drive a car at 16 because I am getting Disability Living Allowance (mobility component) at the higher rate" had been ticked and in 2 cases proof of the DLA award had been sent to DVLA when requested but in each case the licence issued was incorrect. Wise to to check the "from date" to make sure before booking the first lesson and wasting a journey and the lesson slot. If any of you have experienced this type of DVLA error can you let me know so that I can compile a list and contact DVLA to try to get the problem sorted I massive (if belated ) well done to Ben Rees who passed his test at the Ashfield test center.
